Friday 10th - Sun 12th Feb, 2012

Well, I'm looking to surf Friday to Sunday. Winds look lightish but have now gone onshore!

I was at home doing references and things today. Had I clocked that I'dve gone for a surf and worked Friday instead.



Ho hum.... There will always be other days....

So then, this weekend. Plans people? I'm up for pretty much anything as long as it's early.

Right now, Sunday is looking most promising. Hopefully we'll get some sea breezes to counter the offshores early on over the other days.

Yep,I'm about.Sat looks good for Chapel Rock,high tide early,and Sunday,High tide,tiny swell?
Had two paddlefests today,Watergate on low(why?!) then first time at Polzeath.PWR high!Surfmatt had biggest wave I've seen since his last one at Crantock!I lost mat only once,bugger of bodysurf into rockpool area to fetch mat.
Been riding 5GF.Too early to say what it's like yet.Off to Gwenver to find out more tomorrow.

Well,it'll be alright.Seeing Matt skipping along the face like something from Dambusters,with a strangely Hugh Dennis rictus grin on his fizzog is the highlight of my week.Or is it Les Dennis?

So, wasson for tomorrow (Friday) morning then?

High is 0645 or so so I think an 0730 hook-up makes sense. Looks like dead southerly winds with a good swell from the WSW.

My thoughts are:

Poshzeath - not my first choice but the banks do look good!

Hayle Rivermouth (Maybe struggling to get in there but could be a small, mat-only glass fest!)

That place what me and Piskian did recently (although the drop ain't the best for it).

Looks like the southerlies will be working their way down the coast over the morning so I'm gonna hit Polzy around 0830 if anyone's free.

Good winds on Sat with a dropping swell so I'm up for a trek down West. I suggest a bit of a mini meet then.
