Reports are saying DENSE FOG! Looks like our session at MP where we paddled left to get away from the cliff and ran into the other cliff as we'd drifted so far!

Got in with a mat virgin (Jason - he was grinning ear to ear by the end of it) at MP about 9.30ish 'til midday. Some nice cleanish sets but also some hefty waits in between. Have to say, swell was really dying off by the end - not looking good for tomorrow at all.

Best of all though, 3 dolphins joined us for about 5 mins, one within about 15 ft for a while and another swam right between us. They're big! Awesome. Very Happy

We had Perranporth early this morning. A few good fun ones coming through til the tide properly fattened it up. We had a couple of nice party waves anyhoo.

Better last night. Pretty busy in the fog but everyone was just sat inside us. Very strange. Piskian and I just seemed to get every decent wave that came through! pig One of the stand-ups got a little snotty and snaked me on a wave. I pulled out and the one behind was much better. Good speed and a nice floater to finish and guess who was in my landing spot? 'Ave that! Twisted Evil

We shall just have to cross everything for tomorrow... Shocked

Great stuff on the dolphins. I've only had em close once myself and not as close as that sounds! Worth paddling out just to see if they turn up again. What a Face

Well done on your missionary work mate. Jason coming tomorrow?

He can't make tomorrow but I'm sure he'll be along to another - he couldn't stop grinning and did really well catching waves from well out back.

I had to tell him that the Dolphins aren't there every time though.

Oh,I love Perran.Any spot with a high concentration of numpties suits me just fine. That's why I surfed in Japan for 10 years.

A healthy dose of this helps the session along

As usual, you have to remember the surfing equation.
Everyone has a surfboard and a wetsuit in the UK.
    50% go into the sea.
Half of those can get through the shorebreak.
Half of those know how to catch a wave.
Half of those can catch a wave as far out or as quickly as a matter.
Half of those can stand up.
Half of those can make a bottom turn.
So that means only 1.5% of surfers are an obstacle to us enjoying ourselves...

Nah.that's common knowledge.Had Alan Stokes in carpark yesterday, after swell had disappeared.Somehow the Notional Truss has given him Surf Ambassdor status with free volunteer card.for why?And if top UK shortboarders can't figure conditions out, what hope is there for the acolytes?
Thunder and lightning here now.Have I brought the wrath of the resin monkeys upon me?!
Heading west on Weds/Thurs.If anyone wants to risk joining me,I can give lifts from Truro.
