New Years Eve sees SW winds and a decent size swell. Anyone fancy some north coast sheltered spot action?

    Cheers

Sounds like Surf Empty might be in. Anyone else?

Hayle Rivermouth, Harlyn it way up north to Lynmouth (the latter is a long way though).

I'm a definite maybe, the earlier the better. Lynmouth is too far for me though.

Can't think of a better way to say goodbye to 2011, eh?

All looking pretty west of south westerly so I suggest Harlyn at 0745.

I thought you were still away Phil. You might want to try Rivermouth/Hawkes way closer to Lunch time. Wind's going SSW then.

Rad. Would've done it if it'd been better early.

Can't believe Surf Empty bottled the 225mile, 6hr round trip to Lynmouth. Slack!

That was great fun! All lumpy and doubled up but sitting inside a touch gave the waves a chance to sort them selves out into what, ultimately, were some good, smooth open faces. Mats virtually flat and up through the gears. Zooooooooom!

Good way to see the year out. Smile

Twas a blast in the end. We both caught some zoomers (one of my best of the year) in between chasing waves and G finished with a stoke-filled flourish. What a way to see out the year cheers

Shame he spoilt it afterwards with a rant about Andy Carroll (some people just can't spot a decent player when they see one)...
