Neil and his good lady Audi have been out test driving his new mat (right). Sounds like he's struck gold on his first build with a super-smooth, gliding and fast mat.

Streets ashead of my first build. Great work.

Now, G, you're not telling the whole truth here mate!
We also rode your mat (G-Mat 5)yesterday and it was a complete ball-tearer! Wonderfully glidey and a complete pleasure cruiser.
I don't know about your 1st mat, but your 5th fills a niche just perfectly.

OK. To see the New year in I thought it might be nice to see what Neil's been up to. Plenty is the answer!

First off Chief Whitecloud. This mat is a copy of the one above but made entirely out of 70d material. Those who've seen my mats, Casper and Lucky, will know just what that means in terms of lightness and pliability.

Second, Neil has made a narrow. concave 4 pontoon mat for bigger surf, named Cortez. Made with a heavier construction on the deck and I-beams to add strength and stability.

Legend has it that he has also built a K-Mat but, like me, discovered that K-Mats are rubbish! Very Happy

Great work. Top mat builder already. Cool
