Here's a question. Do we need a forum? At the moment only 3 or maybe four of us are using it regularly, primarily just for arranging hook ups. The result is a lot of empty threads with minimal discussion.

We have a new forum lined up with Facebook login but that's gonna cost us. Is there any point spending that? Right now, my feeling is that going back to a blog might be more straight forward. More concise and l feeling less like n empty sports hall.

    Thoughts?

Thing is,there ARE only 3 or 4 of us who meet up regularly for surfs! This's easy for me.We can just say where we'll be,and everyone interested can read it,without us replying to countless texts asking the same thing...
Also,it fixes a location night before,so people aren;t clusterf*cking about on the day,and missing the juice.

I'm with Ian on this. This is a great space for us UK matters to hang out and share the stoke. Makes sorting hook-ups a doddle. The combo of a bit of whatsapp plus this forum is ideal for me.

With most mat surfers and regular mat users living down Kernow way it is easier for you to get together I have only seen one other mat user in over ayear other than at a mat meet. Yes I am guilty of asking dumb questions but without the UK mat surfers site I would not be on a mat in the first place and I think there should be site for potential mat riders to contact for info from the more seasoned riders. I would never use facebook

Thanks Mike. The rest of the site would stay the same. We're going to upgrade dreckly so I wanted to check people's thoughtson which way to go on the interaction front. People want to keep the forum format so we'll go with that.

Just waiting for the developers to sort it so that people with Facebook accounts can login with them if they want to.

Just to clarify, the choice was between forum or blog. When I talk about "Facebook Login" that just means that people who use Facebook can sign in using their Facebook login details. Everybody else can still sign up in the normal way.
