Just finished designing G-Mat 5. Just gotta do the hard bit now! She's gonna have a heavy concave with two wide outer pontoons with 2 narrow, lower central ones.

Obviously with Christmas coming it'll not be a rush job but I'm excited.

Oops! I fear I may have breached the terms of our gentlemen's agreement as G-Mat 4 is now with Cookson! I didn't realise you were interested in cast offs! Embarassed

    lol!

Vulkem is the stuff used for grip on Neumatics. I'm hoping it'll stick to my lightweight material.

Whats the weight (Denier) of the lightweight material Graeme ?

I found Vulkem in Aust but theres a few versions of it, is there an exact name and number for it ? e.g. Vulmek ABC or Vulkem XYZ ?

Anyone thought of doing a mat thats not rectangular ?

    Vulkem 116. Is slightly textured.

Non-rectangular mats sounds like a new topic to me. Wink

Keep it coming G, I examine every pic so I can understand how you build your mats.
I dont think I will ever build a traditional mat but its good to know the steps. Thanks.
