    Friday 16th December - Roseland

Post  GRAYMAN on Wed Dec 14, 2011 8:28 am

Caerhays could be on with a go on Friday I reckon. Changeable forecast at the mo but NW winds are just right for there.

I'm guessing you're thinking downwards. Perhaps the spot through the arch although that's a hike.

    Not forgetting Pentewan of course.

Well that was a challenge. After driving the length of the Roseland and back, we ended up in head high heavy dumpers at Pentewan. lovely almond barrels but not really anywhere to go on most. the odd one came through though and I had a few fun speed runs. Ian didn't really get into it suffering with the Rip Curl curse and decided to head off in search of better...

Sod's Law being what it is meant that within 15mins of Piskian leaving I was up at the far end of the beach as it started working off the point! Had a good few super fast rights and nailed a floater I was pleased with before deading my leg on the rock on the inside. Ho hum... All well though.

Anyway, back in the region tomorrow.

    G

PS Hope you found something Piskian. Maybe the spot we talked about?

Went straight home and washed the car! What a shocker.
No excuses today, just wasn't into it!
After the third swim in chesthigh shoredump to retrieve mat,had enough.
Like a bad workman blaming his tools,I got a pair of grippy gloves rather than my rubbish ripped Gul smoothskin mitts!
Switching to Neu with this winter wetsuit too.Might improve chest grip.Couldn;t be worse!
Glad you had a great session though.Just us and a very good BB-er.Only the second time in my matting that I wished I was on one too!

I don't think it's unfair to blame your tools. Those were heavy waves and you looked like you were trying to hang on to a bar of soap!
