I thought I'd posted this but it went somewhere and might turn up so apologies if I repeat myself.
Impressed by the site and the community especially when I spotted my old mate Ado Paterson in the pics.
As a massive Greenough fan and kneeboarder I had some epic sessions in the 70's on my old short roped lilo and was, as far as I knew at the time, the only mat rider in the UK.

Still love these "closer" experiences: bodyboarding, body surfing and kneeboarding. Recently added a handplane to my beat up toy collection. Seshed the Brighton Squirt last weekend with it. (1 bodyboard 1 plane 4 churchills and JD, my son swapping tools)
Any road feeeling rather inspired by you chaps and fully considering adding a mat to the quiver.
Keep puffing chaps and Ado get in touch mate.

    PS "Welcome offboard"...V amusing.

Interesting that hyper commercialism, massive crowds and surf posing is driving more people to examine and utilise "alternative" forms of wave riding.
I have many great memories of surfing with or watching, Ado surf on all manner of craft from the year dot and always stylishly and always for pure fun.
