Does anyone fancy a meet? Perhaps either end of the half term week at the end of October? Anyway, if people fancy one speak up. I for one am getting withdrawal symptoms.

Yes! By October I will have packed in my dross job in Sussex and will be back home in Cornwall getting mat practice in. I'll try and get Alison along with her Fatty as well.

Unfortunately no can do. Just moved to Singapore, but will hopefully make a meet next time i'm in the UK.

Well, looks like at least 5 people saying they can do either weekend so I propose we play it by ear and pick the best weekend when the time comes.

How do people feel about that?

Up for a Mat meet but Perranporth is a 500 mile round trip is there, no breaks around Plymouth way that would not get two crowded.How about another one at Kbay it seem much easier for you North coasters to car share

Consistency and uncrowdedness are two words that don't go together over this way. The only spot which would fit that profile is Tregantle/Whitsand. Tregantle itself works on all tides but is sh*t and also gets the red range flag (like the Bench). The rest of the Whitsand stretch works either side of low but again is a thoroughly sh*tty bag of crap. Plus, it being the South Coast, there is every chance of it not being on anyway.

I think a car share either way is equally easy isn't it?! Just needs arranging. Infact, the people at this end are more disperate at the end of meandering lanes spread along a peninsular so it is probably a bit more of an issue getting together (not really a north coast, rather a westward spread). Most who've signed up for this one are in West Cornwall. The beauty of the either-side-of-Newquay stretch is the range of options, including shinning over to the Roseland should it turn out to be a South Coast day.

For sure. That'd be a good one for early next year but the last meet was there. Also the wave quality was high but the turn out low and there are quite a few regulars who've not actually made a meet this year so it needs spreading around.

Why not set a date then see who says they are coming and have the mat meet as cental to those that are attending and we all get to do some driving

Nobody is in North Devon and it's a sh*t to get to from everywhere. I already know what would happen. We'd have onemmeet with no attendees rather than two with people at each.

God I forgot about this ha, so used to using my mobile now.! I wouldn't mind cadging a lift from Ian maybe. I work every Saturday so if we're unlucky enough to have no swell n it moves to a Saturday I won't be able to make it G. As I said b4 I'm keen for a papio etc meet even if there isn't enough interest for a matmeet G.

So my vote is anytime dudes.

Sorry about Sunday was still hungover until about 4. Then just nipped in at Godrevy for 40mins before picking th missus up from work!
