    Hello y'all.

Challenging conditions over the weekend but looks like a whomping swell in the channel with SSW winds on Friday and SW winds on Sat so that means Pentewan and the like should be getting plenty of action! What a Face If you don't believe me (those still hooked on the idea that north is always biggest) then have a look at the image from the Pentewan cam taken as I type (Thursday avo):

    15-17 June, 2012 M120614170001946

Friday has the biggest swell plus will have bee fed by strong SE winds overnight so could be pump-o-licious.

I'm gonna get to Pentewan around 0915-0930 as the winds will ease off to a playful 30-35mph and will have blown offshore long enough to straighten the swell up a bit. Low tide is at 9 but it's all pretty neapie so should keep some shape and the rights off the point between Pentewan and Cockaluney Beach (yes... Cockaluney!!! Laughing ) should get some shelter from the wind.

There could even be enough swell for the likes of Porthpean, Portmellon, or Gorran, all of which would be more offshore so it looks like fun in the blustering wind. A reef well down the Roseland could be on too although that needs a high tide.

Saturday sees the swell dropping a bit but still on for Pentewan so I'm looking at early for then.

Anyone looking to hook up, make yourselves known.

    cheers

    Cheers

    G

Pentewan big and messy driving past tonight. I reckon portmellon might have a nice left tomorrow with bit more shelter. Gorran at mid-tide should be good too. Might just have to munch some codeine and take my chances!

Hooking up at Pentewan at 0900 and will take it from there.

Gah... Didn't really come off with the winds making a mixed up mess of things. Surprisingly small given that swell. Almost seemed as if the wind prevented it wrapping in as the exposed cliffs further round were getting pounded. An offshore would have really helped.

Good fun though surfing with my mate Damo. He rode his kneeboard, them fell in love with my paipo. Smile

Surf Empty took some snaps due to broken ribs so we'll see what comes of that. Not holding my breath though!

    Broken ribs?!That lambada's rough work.
Just as well I did bi/tri workout before work instead.
Hitting big Bowgie tomorrow, then a rivermouth on Sunday early.
Had some red flags made up to keep the crowds at bay...

Think I'm gonna look at Harlyn tomorrow. Sounds like it was pretty good today on the same conditions.

I'll get there at 0530 ish.

    Cheers

Actually, I can't be arsed tomorrow. Had two good surfs this week and the good lady needs a kip.
