Hello y'all.
Challenging conditions over the weekend but looks like a whomping swell in the channel with SSW winds on Friday and SW winds on Sat so that means Pentewan and the like should be getting plenty of action! If you don't believe me (those still hooked on the idea that north is always biggest) then have a look at the image from the Pentewan cam taken as I type (Thursday avo):
Friday has the biggest swell plus will have bee fed by strong SE winds overnight so could be pump-o-licious.
I'm gonna get to Pentewan around 0915-0930 as the winds will ease off to a playful 30-35mph and will have blown offshore long enough to straighten the swell up a bit. Low tide is at 9 but it's all pretty neapie so should keep some shape and the rights off the point between Pentewan and Cockaluney Beach (yes... Cockaluney!!! ) should get some shelter from the wind.
There could even be enough swell for the likes of Porthpean, Portmellon, or Gorran, all of which would be more offshore so it looks like fun in the blustering wind. A reef well down the Roseland could be on too although that needs a high tide.
Saturday sees the swell dropping a bit but still on for Pentewan so I'm looking at early for then.
Anyone looking to hook up, make yourselves known.
Cheers
