    Matting Mythbusters-Part 2!

Post  piskian on Thu Dec 01, 2011 6:48 am

    Hello again.
After my first Mythbuster about wind,it has continued to blow like a bihatch!Let's see what happens next.
    Now,"The Quiver".
All you really need is ONE decent mat which comes up to about your bellybutton from the floor and just a tad wider than the widest part of your body( in my case,my shoulders) when lightly inflated(say til you can fold it over on itself).
    That's it.

I think I'd have to agree. I like to have a quiver to have spares but I think you can get so stuck on switching mats you never really master one. Learning to adjust your riding to suit different waves will make you a better surfer I think. It also avoids that "I should have brought out..." thing.

Here's Ian's first bust, in case anyone missed it:

Only ever ride my standard these days. I think Gs right once you get the inflation dialed in on one mat you really get to know it.
