    Dolphins are great. Smile

Good to see Viper V7s. Been looking into stocking them but can't get a peep from the distributor.

I think they're just prepared to sacrifice surfing time. Don't think I am outside meets but I do think we should take advantage of illness and injury by still going to the beach to shoot. Certainly my plan next time I'm poorly.

    Beats sitting in.

Thanks for the feedback lads. This video was not a planned project. That is, despite suggestions otherwise, I don't have a crew following me with video and film! Smile My buddy JP had been shooting the hotshots rippers, Kelly et al, for a few hours and was wrapping up. He has recently started matting and we discussed getting together sometime. He has also been looking for a few pointers / suggestions. Anyway, our sessions overlapped by 20-25 minutes, so he shot my first 4-5 waves, which I reckon came out ok, since they were then used for the video. Let's be honest, the dolphins steal the show!

Any chance he'll forward the footage to Dirk for the Mat Movie?

What mat are you riding mate? Looks wide which is encouraging given my last build.

Was talking to Dave Heard owner of bodyboard HQ about fins a while ago, was after a pair of V7 for my myself and he was saying Viper were only keen on promoting the Mike Steward ones and could not get hold of the older models so probaly not likeley to see the older V5 or V7 in the UK anytime soon

QPR and Chelsea are my teams. Hard to explain how one can hold an allegiance to two teams from the same neighborhood, but remember I grew up in the states and was unaware of this little tidbit as a youngin. The mat is a Neumatic Contrail. No idea about whether or not JP would share the footage. Gonna be in the UK in February. Headed to a few games, as of now we are hitting Man City Porto, Man U Ajax, and the Merseyside Derby. Yew!

I thought so. The QPR squad were staying in the same hotel as us on our honeymoon. Nice buch of blokes. They were being bossed around by a female sports scientist who was about 3 foot tall but had them quaking! Very Happy

Lovely. Dirk's seen the footage so I guess he can chase it up. It's be great to have on there. Love the Contrail glide. Was it made for you? Interesting looking at the width. Could be an optical illusion with you just being on the rail. My mats are both comparitively wide (the latter being really wide!) and I've learned to love it.

My buddy who I always visit is an American working abroad, works for Standard Chartered Bank. Need I say more? Want me to see if he can get a third?

I don't think they are wider, could be an illusion created by how low I ride it. I only fill mine maybe 20-25% full of air. I've ridden with other people who claim to ride low and they are usually surprised by how low my air is. Anyway, I think having it so flat makes the mat really spread under you. If that makes sense.

What an offer!!! Just checked the fixture list. That's the meet weekend. Sad

    Bugger....

If the meet's on the Sunday reckon you might squeeze it in? Quick trip to the Bournemouth area from London. Wink

I fly out Sunday. And, footy is more the reason for my trip. Footy and ale. Change the weekend of the meet and come up to the north (assuming Matty, my buddy, can score a third ticket). Which he may or may not be able to do. As the video shows, I have plenty of opportunities to slide my mat back home. But less to watch good footy in person. And as for the ale, f*ck the best I can get here would make Liberace blush were he to be holding it in a respected English pub.

    Yeah mate I know...

I do love my Club but I love my mat brethren more. Plus, people have arranged holiday around the meet.

Next time you're over though, if your doing LFC games let me know. Send me a photo too!

More troubling is that I am not even a fan of Liverpool, nor of Everton. Just a classic fixture I'd be a fool to turn down! I have never done any measurements of my mats. Maybe I should look at that sometime.

They are woeful. Unless we bring back Gary Mac to take a last second free kick! Smile

Anyway, I am a man of my word and have made a commitment. In many ways, I'm a hero... It's also the only weekend I'm completely free on and I'm gagging for a meet!

Andrew. How would you say your Contrail compares to your shoulders width wise?
