    Paddle Gloves Empty Paddle Gloves

Post  Blimp Mon Feb 06, 2012 10:00 pm

Whilst doing some lane swimming Saturday the guy in the next lane was using paddle gloves we got talking and I ened up trying his paddle gloves while he had a go with my training fins and float. Twenty lenths later found that the gloves had lenthend my stroke when paddling my mat use a short stroke and get my hand as deep as possible and use deep short strokes. Would I buy a pair of paddle gloves for matting and the anser would be no as the type of stroke I use would put to much pressure on my shoulders and lead to soreness.

Has anyone else tryed them ?

I would imagine webbed gloves with splayed fingers would be quite good for bodysurfing on their own.

I wouldn't use them with a mat personally. I use my legs predominatly anyway, but I think they'd get in the way of hanging on. Those Dark Fin things might be OK but not for winter. Also, I've tried webbed gloves a few times and always felt hampered by them.

Each to their own of course.
