    Homemade GoPro Back Mount

Post  GRAYMAN on Thu Feb 02, 2012 9:20 am

Surfmatting new recruit Tim from Portugal has been making a few vids including POV of himself on his 4GF. I emailed him to ask about his back mount and he pointed me in the direction of this:

Clever stuff and with that kinda DIY get-stuck-in attitude he surely a mat surfer in spirit too. cheers

In his email back he also said:

Tim Ciasto wrote:I think I need to meet you guys on one of your matmeets, but I would need a place to stay. It would love to do some filming and learn riding a surfmat. I have just started with both and I am so stoked!!!

I'm sure we could sort out something. I love you

Anyway, here are Tim's video's to date.

    Good stuff.

    sunny

    Cheers

My friend uses the go-pro chestmount on his back.... Works well so far but all the Gopro mounts look kinda dodgy if you ask me... Needs multiple anchor points for ease of mind...

They're pretty tough. Never had probs with my head cams.

That loooks sweet! Can you direct me to vid of the chest mount being worn on the back? How does it have sufficient height? Also, how do you get at it to turn it on and off?

    Cheers

Great idea for clean small days but do you think that will hold together in a big heavy rinseing?
